The Server role within the Food and Beverage division at Solitude Mountain Resort is integral to ensuring guests enjoy a seamless and enjoyable dining experience. Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, the Server is responsible for a variety of tasks that encompass guest interaction, restaurant setup, and maintaining cleanliness and preparedness for service. This position demands excellent interpersonal skills, a customer-focused approach, and the ability to multitask efficiently during busy periods. Servers at Solitude not only take and deliver food and beverage orders but also provide valuable recommendations about the menu to enhance guest satisfaction. They play a supportive role in assisting kitchen staff, hosts, and fellow servers as needed, showcasing teamwork and leadership qualities. Additionally, this seasonal, hourly position requires certifications such as a Food Handler's Permit and Sips N Tips Certification, underscoring the importance of food safety and responsible service of alcohol. Job Duties
- Take food and beverage orders from guests
- Be knowledgeable about the restaurant menu and be able to make recommendations and answer guests' questions
- Set up the restaurant for food service, set tables with linens, silverware, and stemware
- Answer phones
- Make reservations
- Help the restaurant manager, kitchen staff, host, and other servers when needed
- Complete additional tasks as needed
- Close down and clean the restaurant and prepare it for food service the next day
