The open position is an hourly role that requires flexibility to work various shifts including days, evenings, some weekends, and holidays. The role is crucial in supporting the nutritional needs of residents by setting up the dining area and trays for meal services while strictly adhering to food safety guidelines and dietary restrictions as per residents' individual requirements. This includes adherence to facility and departmental policies such as Human Resources, Code of Ethics and Business Conduct, Health and Safety regulations, Compliance requirements, Patient Rights, Confidentiality, and HIPAA. Contributions to meetings and ongoing participation in training and competencies are also key components of the role, underscoring the commitment to professional growth and the maintenance of necessary certifications or licenses. Job Duties
- setting up dining area and trays for meal services adhering to food safety guidelines and dietary restrictions based on residents' needs
- assisting cook/supervisor with food preparation and service using specific procedures following guidelines and regulations
- delivering residents' meal carts and setting and cleaning assigned dining area(s) to serve residents
- accurately recording temperatures on refrigerators
- cleaning and stocking as needed
- washing and storing dishes adhering to overall sanitation and maintenance of the kitchen
- demonstrating knowledge of federal state and community rules regulations policies and procedures
- acting in conformance with all facility and departmental policies and procedures including human resources code of ethics business conduct health and safety regulations compliance requirements patient rights confidentiality and hipaa
- attending department meetings as required
- demonstrating accountability to accept responsibility for personal/professional growth and any required certifications/licenses if applicable
- completing mandatory training and competencies annually
