Job Description

This hiring establishment is a reputable restaurant committed to delivering unparalleled dining experiences that emphasize warmth, attentiveness, and exceptional service. Known for its dedication to quality and guest satisfaction, the restaurant operates in a vibrant hospitality environment striving to exceed customer expectations. With a focus on creating a welcoming atmosphere for both customers and employees, the establishment highlights the importance of teamwork, professionalism, and expert knowledge in food and beverage offerings to maintain its high standards in the competitive restaurant industry.

The role available is that of a Server, a vital position within the restaurant's service team responsible for ensuring every guest receives a memorable dining experience. This role is designed for enthusiastic individuals who exhibit a genuine passion for hospitality and excel at delivering service that makes customers feel valued and comfortable from the moment they enter the venue. The Server acts as the primary liaison between the guests and the kitchen staff, coordinating efforts to fulfill orders accurately and promptly while adhering to established procedures and company policies.

Operating on either a full-time or part-time basis, this hourly non-exempt position reports to the Restaurant Manager on Duty and involves using various tools and equipment such as a computer system and a beer draught system. Candidates must be at least 21 years old and hold a high school diploma or GED, along with a current Food Handler's Permit and Alcohol Certification, to comply with regulatory and safety standards.

In this capacity, the Server is tasked with preparing dining tables according to the restaurant's specifications and engaging guests with a friendly and knowledgeable demeanor about menu items, daily specials, and beverage selections including beer, wine, cocktails, and liquors. Using the Aloha POS system, the Server processes orders ensuring all items are prepared to the highest standard and delivered in a timely manner. The role demands attentiveness to guests’ satisfaction throughout their meals, responding thoughtfully to any additional requests, and managing payments with precision.

Further responsibilities include compliance with State Liquor Laws and the company’s Responsible Alcohol Service Program (RASP), assisting busser staff in maintaining table settings between courses, and performing side work such as restocking utensils and condiments, cleaning, and preparing garnishes. This position also requires strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining calm under pressure.

Physical and mental endurance are crucial, as the Server must often lift and move items up to 50 pounds and navigate through various tasks involving standing, sitting, walking, balancing, stooping, kneeling, and other physical activities integral to restaurant operations. A professional attitude, reliability for scheduled shifts including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are essential qualities.

This opportunity provides a dynamic work setting where employees can thrive by developing their hospitality skills and contributing to a team-oriented culture focused on delivering exceptional guest experiences. The employer is an Equal Opportunity Employer, committed to eliminating discrimination in all forms, ensuring a respectful and inclusive work environment for all employees regardless of race, color, sex, age, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, veteran status, disability, or other protected classifications.
