Job Description
Our client is a distinguished hospitality establishment committed to providing an exceptional dining experience to every guest. As a professional setting rooted in hospitality and service excellence, this company prides itself on the fusion of high-quality cuisine and warm, attentive customer care. With a welcoming atmosphere and a strong focus on creating memorable moments for guests, the company operates both full-time and part-time positions, ensuring flexibility and inclusivity while maintaining service standards that exceed expectations. This role is classified as non-exempt and paid on an hourly basis, reflecting the company’s dedication to fair labor practices and employee satisfaction.
The Server position plays an integral role in the execution of the restaurant's vision by ensuring that each customer feels valued through a sincere and caring approach from the moment they enter. As a vital point of contact, the Server manages the coordination between restaurant and kitchen staff, fostering streamlined communication and guaranteeing timely, accurate delivery of food and beverages. This role demands enthusiasm, product knowledge, and exemplary interpersonal skills to achieve a service flow that appears natural and enjoyable to guests.
A Server in this capacity is expected to demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of the menu, including daily specials, promotional offerings, and beverage options such as beer selections, wines, cocktails, and liquors. Utilizing the Aloha POS system, the Server processes orders with precision, ensuring that each item meets preparation standards and is delivered promptly. Meticulous attention to guest satisfaction is paramount, requiring active observation and prompt response to requests or concerns. Equally important is the Server's adherence to strict state liquor laws and company Responsible Alcohol Service Program (RASP) policies, ensuring a safe and lawful dining environment.
Side work responsibilities are an essential component of the Server’s duties, including tasks such as napkin and utensil preparation, cleaning and resetting tables, menu updates, and ingredient garnishing. These activities contribute significantly to the overall ambiance and operational efficiency of the restaurant. The position also necessitates physical stamina and mental resilience, capable of managing the unique stressors that come with a dynamic dining room environment.
This opportunity is ideal for candidates aged 21 years or older who hold a high school diploma or GED and possess at least one year of relevant serving experience. Current food handler's and alcohol certifications are mandatory, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. The role reports to the Restaurant Manager on Duty and requires reliability, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
By joining this dedicated team, you will be contributing to a service culture where excellence and guest satisfaction are paramount. The company embraces equal opportunity employment principles, ensuring a diverse and inclusive workplace for all individuals, irrespective of race, color, gender, age, national origin, or any other protected classifications.
