Job Requirements

  • Able to pass pre-employment physical/TB test
  • obtain fingerprint clearance as required by licensure
  • hold current food handlers' certification
  • knowledge of dietary laws and facility policies
  • ability to follow detailed diet rosters and seating arrangements
  • good communication skills
  • ability to work in a compassionate, team-oriented environment

Job Qualifications

  • Able to pass pre-employment physical/TB test
  • obtain fingerprint clearance as required by licensure
  • hold current food handlers' certification
  • knowledge of dietary laws and facility procedures
  • ability to set up trays and dining room tables accurately
  • capable of following diet rosters and tray tickets with attention to therapeutic diets and allergies
  • strong communication skills to report preferences and modifications

Job Duties

  • Pass pre-employment physical/TB test
  • obtain fingerprint clearance as required
  • maintain food handlers' certification
  • have knowledge of facility services, menus including entrées and their ingredients, job duties, kashrut/kosher dietary laws, and policies and procedures
  • set up trays and dining room tables per guest preferences and diet orders
  • follow seating arrangements and notify diet aide or manager of conflicts or changes
  • follow diet rosters and tray tickets for accuracy of therapeutic and texture modified diets, allergies, preferences, dining room, and other special needs
  • notify diet aide or registered dietitian nutritionist prior to making any modifications
  • obtain meal preferences for individuals who have not completed the weekly menu
  • record and report food preferences and intolerances to registered dietitian and diet aide
