Job Description
The Hotel del Coronado is a legendary and iconic luxury beach resort located on Coronado Island, just minutes from downtown San Diego. Established in 1888, this historic property is one of the last surviving wooden Victorian beach resorts in the world, renowned for its unique charm, timeless elegance, and exceptional hospitality. The hotel recently underwent a $400 million renovation and expansion, enhancing its facilities to an even more stunning and sophisticated level, while preserving its rich heritage. Spanning 28 acres, the resort features over 750 rooms, cottages, and villas, supplemented by more than 65,000 square feet of banquet and event space, making it an ideal destination for leisure and business travelers alike. Guests can enjoy a variety of dining options across 10 food and beverage outlets, including four restaurants, two bars, a food truck, a marketplace, ice cream shop, and in-room dining services, all designed to offer diverse culinary experiences that cater to every taste and preference.
This role of Food Server at Hotel del Coronado is integral to delivering the warm, welcoming, and exceptional service experience that guests expect from a world-class resort. Food Servers here are not only responsible for taking orders and serving food and beverages efficiently but also for creating memorable moments for each guest through attentive, friendly, and proactive hospitality. The position demands a high level of menu knowledge to confidently answer guests' questions and recommend offerings, ensuring guests feel well cared for throughout their meal. Being the face of the resort’s dining experience, Servers must maintain a professional and upbeat demeanor, managing the food service station to keep it well-stocked, clean, and organized for seamless service delivery. Compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness standards is paramount, reflecting the hotel's commitment to guest and team member well-being.
