Job Description

Hotel del Coronado is an iconic and historic beachfront resort located on Coronado Island, just a few minutes from Downtown San Diego. Established in 1888, it stands as one of the last surviving wooden Victorian beach resorts in the world. Recently completed a remarkable $400 million renovation and expansion, the resort now boasts over 750 rooms, including charming cottages and villas, set on a sprawling 28-acre property. The resort also features an impressive 65,000 square feet of banquet space alongside ten distinct food and beverage outlets. These outlets include four restaurants, two bars, a food truck, a marketplace, an ice cream shop, and in-room dining options, ensuring a diverse and vibrant dining experience for every guest. This iconic location is not only a historical landmark but a beacon of timeless hospitality and luxurious comfort, attracting visitors from around the globe who seek an extraordinary stay by the Pacific coastline.

The Seasonal Server role at Hotel del Coronado presents a fantastic opportunity to be part of this legendary establishment’s esteemed Food & Beverage team. As a Server, you are more than someone who merely takes orders and serves food; you are an ambassador of hospitality, spreading warmth and light to every guest interaction. This position demands a proactive, upbeat demeanor coupled with exceptional attention to detail to create memorable dining experiences for guests. Servers at Hotel del Coronado learn the intricacies of the menu, promotions, and specials to confidently guide guests and answer their queries, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable meal. Efficiency and care are paramount—the role involves taking precise orders, using the point-of-sale system proficiently, and delivering orders promptly, all while maintaining an organized and fully stocked food service station.

Moreover, compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations is a critical part of maintaining the highest standards for both guest safety and team member well-being. The ideal candidate embodies Hilton’s core values of Hospitality, Integrity, Leadership, Teamwork, Ownership, and a focus on the Now, bringing urgency and care to every moment on the job. With a strong commitment to excellence and guest satisfaction, the Server position contributes directly to the award-winning workplace culture for which Hilton and Hotel del Coronado are renowned.

Working at Hotel del Coronado means joining a global hospitality leader whose mission is to fill the earth with the light and warmth of hospitality. The Team Members here are part of an award-winning culture recognized repeatedly on the World’s Best Workplaces list by Great Place to Work and Fortune. Hilton supports each member’s professional journey with a range of developmental opportunities and considers this seasonal role a stepping stone toward a rewarding career in hospitality. If you are passionate about delivering outstanding service and want to be part of a historic, magical resort experience, this role offers a unique chance to make every guest’s stay a little brighter and more memorable.
