As part of Marriott International, one of the largest and most respected hotel chains worldwide, The Westin Seattle offers a unique blend of luxury, comfort, and wellness-focused service. The hotel is situated in the heart of Seattle, providing guests with premier access to the city’s attractions, business centers, and cultural landmarks. With a focus on delivering exceptional experiences, The Westin Seattle embodies the Marriott mission of creating a welcoming and inclusive environment where all associates and guests feel valued and respected.

This position is a full-time, non-management role within the Food and Beverage & Culinary category, offering an hourly pay rate of $21.30, with tip eligibility. The role centers around serving food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests while adhering to the highest standards of service and hospitality. The candidate will be responsible for setting tables according to specific event types and service standards, effectively answering guests' questions about menu selections, and communicating clearly with kitchen staff. This communication includes relaying details about menu questions, wait times, re-cook orders, product availability, and guest dietary restrictions or special requests.

An integral part of the role involves using the MICROS point-of-sale system to record transactions accurately at order time and to ensure guests' satisfaction by checking in with them after each course or beverage. The candidate must also maintain cleanliness throughout the shift, manage closing duties such as restocking and turning off lights, and handle payment processing in a professional manner. The role requires adherence to all company safety, security policies, and uniform standards, as well as maintaining confidentiality and protecting company assets.

The ideal candidate is someone who can skillfully welcome and acknowledge guests, anticipate their needs, provide assistance to individuals with disabilities, and express genuine appreciation. They must communicate clearly and professionally, foster positive working relationships, and support team goals in a collaborative work environment. Physical demands include extended periods of standing, sitting, or walking; the ability to lift, carry, and manipulate objects of varying sizes and weights; and the flexibility to work on various surfaces and navigate stairs or ramps.

Preferred qualifications for this role include a high school diploma or GED equivalent and at least one year of related work experience. This role does not require supervisory experience or specific licenses or certifications. The Westin Seattle is dedicated to equal opportunity employment and actively promotes diversity, valuing the unique backgrounds and experiences of all associates. Additionally, the company provides a comprehensive benefits package, including a 401(k) plan, stock purchase options, employee discounts, commuter benefits, and childcare discounts. Full-time employees can also access medical, dental, vision coverage, and additional support benefits such as paid parental leave and educational assistance.

In summary, this is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about hospitality and wellness to join a globally reputed team committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
