Sage Hospitality is currently seeking a full-time Server to join the team at Urban Farmer Philadelphia. This role is critical in providing exemplary food service, ensuring that guests receive personalized attention and enjoy a remarkable dining experience. The Server is responsible for greeting guests, taking orders, memorizing menu items including daily specials, accommodating special requests, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Precision and professionalism are essential, as the Server manages guest checks, handles payments securely, and adheres to all health and safety standards.

Job Requirements
- High school education or equivalent
- Minimum three months previous experience in a similar position
- Basic knowledge of food server function and restaurant operations
- Knowledge of standard cash-handling procedures
- Fluency in oral and written English
- Ability to see detailed guest checks and restaurant areas in dim lighting
- Manual coordination to handle trays and orders
- Physical ability to lift, push, pull and carry up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand continuously for long periods
- Good hearing and vision
- Ability to multitask and follow verbal and written instructions
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Ability to use tact and understanding in customer service situations
Job Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent
- Previous experience in a similar server position of three months or longer
- Basic knowledge of customer service principles and restaurant operations
- Knowledge of standard cash-handling procedures
- Fluent in oral and written English
- Ability to memorize menu items and specials
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Team player with a positive attitude
Job Duties
- Greet and take food and drink orders from restaurant customers
- Serve the orders and accommodate special needs or requests
- Remain attentive to customers throughout the dining experience adhering to or exceeding service standards
- Complete all restocking and cleaning duties by performing opening and closing sidework as instructed
- Memorize menu items, recipes and daily specials to answer questions and make recommendations
- Maintain cleanliness standards in restaurant, waitstation and kitchen service area to satisfy health requirements
- Control guest checks by following established procedures and documenting required information
- Receive proper payment from guests and ensure accuracy of guest checks
- Attend all pre-meal and departmental meetings in person
- Respond to customer inquiries and comments in person and on phone with timely and knowledgeable information
- Present a clean and professional appearance at all times
- Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
