Job Description

The Vinoy Resort & Golf Club Autograph Collection, located at 501 5th Ave NE, St Petersburg, Florida, is a prestigious 4 and 5-star independent hotel known for its exceptional service and unique experiences. As part of the renowned Marriott International portfolio, the Vinoy Resort combines luxury, history, and a vibrant atmosphere to offer guests unforgettable stays. The resort's affiliation with the Autograph Collection highlights its commitment to originality, character, and catering to the modern traveler who seeks memorable and personalized adventures. With a focus on hospitality excellence, the resort attracts a diverse clientele who appreciate not only comfort and quality but also the distinctiveness that sets each Autograph Collection hotel apart.

This role is a part-time, non-management position within the Food and Beverage & Culinary category, specifically focused on guest service expertise. The job centers around more than just serving food and drinks; it involves creating a memorable and unique experience for guests that extends beyond their dining. The Guest Service Expert will be proactive in delivering an array of services designed to enhance guest enjoyment throughout their visit. Responsibilities include setting tables, communicating with kitchen staff, engaging with guests, serving meals, and maintaining cleanliness in work and storage areas. This position requires a dedicated commitment to ensuring that every interaction contributes positively to the guests’ overall experience at the hotel.

Employees in this role must adhere to company standards by maintaining a professional appearance and communication style, following company policies and procedures, and upholding quality standards consistently. The work environment demands physical activity, such as standing, walking for long periods, navigating potentially uneven or slippery surfaces, reading and verifying menu information, and performing various tasks including lifting, carrying, pushing, and placing items weighing less than 50 pounds without assistance. Also, reaching high places, bending, twisting, stretching, and crouching are part of the daily activities. Mastery of these tasks is essential to guest satisfaction and smooth hotel operations.

The Vinoy Resort & Golf Club values diversity and inclusivity, offering equal employment opportunities regardless of disability, veteran status, or other legally protected characteristics. Joining this team means becoming part of a global network of professionals committed to cultivating a welcoming environment and celebrating unique cultural backgrounds, talents, and experiences. Employees will be part of an inspiring workplace where they can perform their best work, fulfill a greater purpose, and grow to their fullest potential. The resort’s vision goes beyond traditional hospitality, closely connecting with travelers who identify as "Individualists"—guests seeking to enrich their personal stories through travel and unique hotel experiences.

Overall, this position at The Vinoy Resort & Golf Club Autograph Collection is ideal for those passionate about delivering exceptional service in a dynamic and refined setting. It offers the opportunity to work with a globally recognized brand while contributing meaningfully to guests’ distinctively crafted memorable experiences. The part-time, non-supervisory role ensures that everyone from food service to guest interaction supports the hotel’s mission to lead in luxury and authenticity among independent hotels globally.
