Watermark BR is a distinguished hotel located in the heart of downtown Baton Rouge, renowned for its historic significance and unique architectural beauty. As part of Marriott's prestigious Autograph Collection, Watermark BR offers guests an unparalleled experience blending classic design with modern luxury. Originally built in 1927 as Baton Rouge's first skyscraper, the building served as the headquarters for the Louisiana Trust & Savings Bank for over 50 years. The property features a rich mix of Art Deco and Greek Revival architecture, with intricately preserved murals by celebrated New Orleans artist Angela Gregory, marble walls, a grand staircase, and original bank vaults that speak to the city’s elite history. Overlooking the Mississippi River, Watermark BR stands as a landmark symbolizing elegance and heritage in downtown Baton Rouge.

The hotel boasts exceptional dining options including two distinct restaurants: The Gregory, an upscale venue offering a range of Southern cuisine, and Milford’s on Third, a New York City-style deli infused with Southern charm. Watermark BR is currently seeking part-time Restaurant Servers to join its exceptional food and beverage team. Reporting directly to the Restaurant Manager and the Director of Food & Beverage, servers at Watermark BR play a vital role in delivering an elevated dining experience to patrons. This role requires providing courteous, attentive, and efficient service, ensuring patrons’ needs are met seamlessly from order taking to payment collection. Servers may be assigned to either dining facility, offering a dynamic work environment where professionalism and a genuine passion for hospitality are critical.

This is a tipped position ideal for individuals passionate about guest satisfaction and those seeking flexible, part-time employment within a high-end hotel setting. Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in hospitality or food service preferred
  • ability to work flexible part-time hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • excellent customer service and communication skills
  • physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • ability to handle cash and process payments accurately
  • willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • experience in a hotel or a related field preferred
  • experience in fine dining helpful
