Watermark BR is an exceptional hotel located in the heart of beautiful downtown Baton Rouge. A proud member of Marriott's Autograph Collection, this hotel offers a truly unique and historic experience to its guests. Housed in Baton Rouge's first "skyscraper," built in 1927, Watermark BR stands as an iconic building known formerly as the Old Louisiana National Bank building. The establishment is renowned for its stunning blend of Art Deco and Greek Revival architecture, thoughtful preservation of historic murals by renowned New Orleans artist Angela Gregory, and its elegant marble walls and grand staircase leading to the original bank vaults. Our hotel boasts exquisite public spaces and dining facilities that merge design elements from the 1920s through the 1960s with contemporary aesthetics. Among our food and beverage offerings, guests can enjoy innovative Southern cuisine at The Gregory, an upscale restaurant, or savor the Southern-charmed menu with New York City deli influences at Milford's on Third. These venues provide diverse dining experiences tailored to meet guests' expectations for exceptional service and culinary delight.
We are currently seeking dedicated part-time Restaurant Servers who will play a critical role in delivering unparalleled dining experiences to our guests. Reporting to the Restaurant Manager and Director of Food & Beverage, the Restaurant Server position is centered on providing the highest quality of service in an attentive, courteous, and efficient manner. Servers will be responsible for taking and delivering guest orders, ensuring all food and beverage requirements are met promptly, and collecting payments. The opportunity involves working in either of our two distinctive dining environments, each offering unique menus and atmospheres.
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, with experience in hotel or related hospitality fields preferred. Candidates with previous fine dining experience are highly valued, as familiarity with upscale guest service standards is essential to complement our refined dining offerings. Serving at Watermark BR requires a warm and friendly demeanor consistently, the ability to maintain excellent communication with guests and team members, and a comprehensive understanding of our restaurant’s operations including knowledge of current menus and specials.
