Job Description
Compal Electronics is a renowned global leader in the manufacturing of computing and smart devices, serving some of the world’s most prestigious technology brands. With a history marked by innovation and excellence, Compal has expanded its operations to North America, where it continues to build a resilient and agile global supply chain. The company is firmly committed to sustainability and responsible business practices. It integrates environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles into its operations, supply chain management, and long-term growth strategies. This commitment not only ensures compliance with global standards but also drives continuous improvement and value creation for clients, stakeholders, and communities.
The role offered is an expatriate assignment based in Texas, USA, which focuses on managing procurement activities specifically for server components. The position is integral to maintaining the stability and efficiency of the supply chain, emphasizing supplier relationship management, cost optimization, and supply continuity. The individual will collaborate extensively with both internal cross-functional teams and external suppliers to ensure that production schedules and quality standards are met without disruption. This opportunity offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience, reflecting the important responsibilities and expertise required for this position.
In this role, you will lead procurement efforts including supplier development and performance management, ensuring that supplier criteria such as cost, quality, and delivery schedules are consistently met or exceeded. The role demands a proactive approach to tracking market trends and assessing supply risks, which are critical to preempting and mitigating any challenges in the supply chain. A key part of your responsibilities will include the development of secondary sourcing options to enhance supply stability and reduce dependency on single sources. Your technical knowledge of ERP systems like SAP will support efficient procurement and pricing operations, facilitating transparent and streamlined processes conducive to cost-saving and operational excellence.
This position requires a professional with strong negotiation and communication skills capable of navigating complex supplier landscapes and internal stakeholder expectations. Fluency in both English and Chinese is essential to facilitate effective international communication and collaboration. Candidates are expected to bring at least three years of procurement or supply chain experience in server or electronics manufacturing environments, supported by a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field. This role provides an excellent career development platform within a forward-looking company that values expertise, dedication, and a sustainable approach to business management.
