Highland Hills Assisted Living is currently seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Waitstaff to join its dining services team on a part-time basis with rotating shifts. This position plays a vital role in ensuring a pleasant dining experience for all residents by providing timely and courteous meal service. The Waitstaff at Highland Hills assists with setting up the dining area, serving meals and beverages, and interacting positively with residents to meet their dietary and special requests. This role is not only about food service but also about supporting the wellbeing and social engagement of residents during meal times. The ideal candidate will be dependable, have strong communication skills, and a natural ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
As a Waitstaff member, working closely with kitchen staff and other team members is essential to maintaining smooth operations. The position demands adherence to strict health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and hygiene standards, to ensure the safety and satisfaction of residents. Physical stamina is necessary as the role requires standing, walking, and carrying items for extended periods, including lifting up to 25 pounds. Applicants should be flexible with scheduling, including availability on weekends and holidays.

Job Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and carry items for extended periods
- Capability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Willingness to follow health and safety regulations

- Prior experience in dining or customer service roles preferred

Job Duties
- Set up dining areas, serve meals and beverages, ensure residents receive food promptly
- Engage with residents addressing dietary preferences and special requests
- Maintain cleanliness in dining and kitchen areas including clearing tables and washing dishes
- Ensure all equipment is sanitized according to health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and team members to ensure smooth service
- Adhere to health and safety regulations including food handling and personal hygiene
- Assist with inventory management and report supply needs
