Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in a food service role preferred
- Must be able to stand and walk throughout entire shift
- Ability to lift and carry trays weighing up to 50 lbs
- Ability to balance a serving tray with one hand
- Ability to bend, stoop, and reach while carrying items
- Must have manual dexterity for cutting and chopping foods
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- Must comply with all health and safety standards
Job Qualifications
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment at a consistent tempo
- Must have a good and cheerful outlook
- Must have a good understanding of menu
- Must be dependable and have a good attendance record
- Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively
- Must be able to follow all health and safety policies and procedures
- Must be able to operate a Point of Sale system and other electronics such as an iPad
- Must have a valid food handler and OLCC cards or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Must be able to function in support delivery, primary server, secondary server, server help, to-go, prep/delivery, and tempura stations
Job Duties
- Greets and seats customers
- Answers questions about the menu and makes recommendations including upselling
- Accurately takes orders and communicates them to kitchen staff
- Understands and communicates any food allergies or special instructions to kitchen staff
- Follows OLCC guidelines for alcohol orders and service
- Answers the phone and takes orders
- Ensures all orders are filled quickly and accurately and that the food is high quality
- Provides attentive service such as refilling drinks, checking on guests, and updating on order status
- Addresses customer service issues promptly and refers to appropriate personnel
- Performs cleaning and sanitation duties including server station and tables
- Takes and processes customer payments using POS system
- Operates all functions of POS including discounts and rewards
- Completes side prep work such as cutting cucumbers, refilling condiments, and doing dishes
- Packs up to-go orders and rings out customers
- Works in the Tempura station as needed
