The role of a Server at Momiji is integral to providing an outstanding dining experience. Servers, also known as Food Servers, Waiters, or Waitresses, are responsible for greeting and seating guests, explaining menu items, accurately taking food and drink orders, and ensuring timely delivery of dishes. The position demands excellent communication skills to convey customer preferences and dietary restrictions to the kitchen staff and requires adherence to safety and regulatory guidelines, including OLCC rules on alcohol service. Beyond basic order taking, the Server's responsibilities include upselling menu items, responding to customer inquiries, managing payment transactions through a POS system, and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area.

Servers at Momiji may also assist with various stations in the kitchen, including the Tempura station, and handle to-go orders, showcasing versatility and teamwork. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in food service or hospitality preferred
- excellent communication skills
- ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- capable of lifting up to 50 pounds
- must have or be able to obtain food handler and OLCC certification within 30 days
- ability to work flexible shifts including evenings and weekends
- must be dependable and punctual

- must be able to operate a Point of Sale POS system and other electronics in the store such as an iPad
- must have a valid food handler and OLCC cards or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire
- must be able to function in the support delivery primary server secondary server server help togo prep delivery and tempura stations
Job Duties
- Greets and seats customers
- answers questions about the menu and makes recommendations including upselling
- accurately takes orders and communicates them to the kitchen staff
- understands and communicates any food allergies or special instructions to the kitchen staff
- follows OLCC guidelines for alcohol orders and service
- answers the phone and takes orders
- ensures that all orders are filled quickly and accurately and that the food is high quality
- provides attentive service to customers such as refilling drinks as needed and checking on guests needs during the meal and updating them on the status of their order
- promptly addresses any customer service issues and refers them to the appropriate person if necessary
- performs cleaning and sanitation duties such as server station and tables
- takes and processes customer payments using a POS system
- operates all functions of the POS system including discounts and rewards
- completes side prep work such as cutting cucumbers refilling condiments and doing dishes
- packs up to go orders and rings out customers
- works in the Tempura station as needed
- assists the kitchen staff as needed
- cleans outside of server area and dishes as needed
- other duties as assigned
