We are currently seeking dedicated and enthusiastic individuals for a seasonal Food and Beverage Server position to join our dynamic team at the Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills. This part-time role, available from June 2nd to September 7th, offers a competitive hourly wage of $22.50 and requires flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays. Servers at Four Seasons are vital in ensuring that every dining experience is memorable by providing insightful menu recommendations, attentive service, and a friendly ambiance.

As a Food and Beverage Server, you will play an essential role in engaging with guests, offering detailed knowledge of menu items, including their origins, flavors, and preparation methods. You will utilize the hotel's point-of-sales system to communicate orders clearly to the kitchen, coordinate timing, and ensure that food quality meets Four Seasons' rigorous standards. Your responsibilities will extend to handling payments accurately, assisting in restaurant and function room setup, and maintaining cleanliness in dining and pool areas. Job Requirements

  • Minimum two years’ food service experience
  • Food handlers certification required
  • Work authorization in the United States
  • Ability to carry and balance a tray
  • Ability to accurately process cash and credit card transactions
  • Flexible schedule with ability to work all shifts, weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum two years’ food service experience
  • Server experience preferred
  • Knowledge of MICROS preferred
  • One to two years’ experience working in food and beverage preferred
  • Food handlers certification required
  • Ability to carry and balance a tray
  • Ability to accurately process cash and credit card transactions
  • Work authorization in the United States
  • Flexible schedule with ability to work all shifts, weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Serve guest needs by providing exceptional knowledge of food and beverage menu items
  • Offer vivid descriptions of each item’s origin, taste, and preparation
  • Communicate guest orders including special requests to kitchen using point-of-sales system
  • Coordinate food timings
  • Check completed kitchen orders with original guest orders
  • Transport items to guest tables promptly
  • Properly and accurately close guest checks
  • Process cash and credit card payments
  • Set-up, decorate, clean, breakdown tables and food stations
  • Stock linens, china, glass, silver, and food items for service
  • Assist in preparation of smaller items such as toast, soup or beverages
  • Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction and offer suggestions
  • Respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests
  • Assist needs of all guests in function rooms providing punctual and enthusiastic service
  • Maintain cleanliness in pool area
  • Respond properly and quickly in hotel emergency or safety situations
  • Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors
  • Clear, clean and set-up tables, chairs, linens, and service ware unobtrusively according to Four Seasons standards
