Job Description
Marriott International is a globally recognized leader in the hospitality industry, known for its innovative approach to luxury and guest experiences. Among its portfolio of renowned brands is W Hotels, a distinctive luxury hotel brand that aims to Ignite Curiosity and Expand Worlds. W Hotels is celebrated for its vibrant and contemporary design, exceptional service, and an engaging atmosphere that appeals to a diverse, sophisticated clientele. Located at 1112 4th Ave in Seattle, Washington, this W Hotels location embodies the brand's commitment to delivering unparalleled guest experiences in one of the city’s most dynamic neighborhoods.
The position available is for a Guest Service Expert within the Food and Beverage & Culinary category. This is a part-time, non-management role that offers an hourly wage of $21.30, with eligibility for tips and service charge compensation. This role is critical in ensuring that every guest’s dining experience is memorable and pleasurable through attentive, proactive service.
As a Guest Service Expert at W Hotels, your responsibilities go beyond simply serving food and drinks. You are part of a team that creates an immersive and unique experience for guests that is as much about ambiance and interaction as it is about the menu offerings. From setting and clearing tables to effectively communicating guest needs and kitchen requests, you play an integral role in the operational flow and atmosphere of the dining space. This hands-on role requires vigilance to safety standards, quality maintenance, and presenting yourself professionally in grooming and communication.
Physical stamina is essential as this job demands standing, walking, bending, and occasionally lifting and pushing objects weighing up to 50 pounds with assistance. The dynamic nature of this role means you must be attentive and responsive, ready to engage with guests and coworkers to ensure smooth service delivery and a welcoming environment.
Marriott International values diversity and inclusion, fostering a workplace where all associates are celebrated for their unique talents and backgrounds. At W Hotels, this commitment means welcoming team members who are original, innovative, and forward-thinking, contributing to a culture that encourages personal and professional growth.
Benefits of employment include access to a 401(k) plan, stock purchase options, employee discounts at Marriott properties, commuter benefits, employee assistance programs, and childcare discounts. While this position is part-time and may not include all benefits available to full-time employees, W Hotels ensures every team member enjoys a supportive working environment with opportunities for growth and development.
For Washington state applicants, additional benefits such as paid sick leave accrual and eligibility for a minimum of seven holidays annually are provided, reflecting Marriott International’s commitment to employee well-being.
Joining W Hotels means becoming part of a global team dedicated to excellence and innovation in hospitality. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience in a fast-paced, luxury hospitality environment while contributing directly to guest satisfaction and brand reputation.
