Job Description

Providence Place at Ingleside is a distinguished 55-plus active adult independent living community uniquely situated on a picturesque hilltop in Holyoke, Massachusetts. Renowned for its commitment to exceptional senior living, Providence Place offers residents a vibrant lifestyle enriched by diverse programs that encourage activity, social engagement, and wellness. The community is dedicated to creating an extraordinary environment where senior adults feel valued, supported, and invigorated, making it more than just a place to live but a place to truly thrive.

As a part-time establishment featuring rotating shifts, Providence Place not only values flexibility but also the dedication of its employees in contributing to the residents' experience. The offered compensation ranges from $17.82 to $20.49 per hour, depending on verification of experience and qualifications, reflecting the importance of expertise and passion in enhancing the community's hospitality services.

The roles available are Wait Staff/Servers and Coffee Shop Servers, positions that are crucial in ensuring the dining and social areas meet the highest standards of service and comfort. Wait Staff/Servers are essential in delivering a memorable dining experience, taking orders, serving meals efficiently, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, and assisting during special functions and events. This role demands not only efficiency and attention to detail but also a warm, engaging personality to create a friendly atmosphere for the residents.

The Coffee Shop Server position suits those who love coffee and possess strong organizational skills. Serving as the heart of the cozy coffee shop, this role ensures fresh, inviting beverages and treats are readily available, maintaining the shop’s cleanliness and ambiance, and preparing the area for both service and closing. Both roles require physical capability, including the ability to lift 25 pounds or more, emphasizing the active nature of the work despite its part-time schedule.

The hiring environment promotes inclusivity and teamwork, fostering a supportive culture where employees can thrive while making a positive impact on the lives of senior residents. The team at Providence Place values confidentiality highly, recognizing the sensitivity and privacy needs of its community members. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking to enter or grow in the hospitality and food service fields with no prior experience required but an enthusiasm to learn and excel.

In addition to a dynamic working atmosphere, employees can enjoy a variety of benefits such as paid holidays, generous paid time off, daily pay options through DailyPay, a referral program, tuition reimbursement up to $4,000 annually, and discounts with major vendors. Health, dental, and vision insurance plans are available from day one at low cost, alongside access to lower cost medical services through affiliated healthcare facilities. Providence Place takes pride in its commitment to equity, diversity, and creating a compassionate, person-centered workplace aligned with its mission and core values. This translates to a rewarding career path for those passionate about serving the senior community with kindness, respect, and dedicated professionalism.
