We are currently hiring for the position of Server on a part-time basis with a starting hourly wage of $15.15. This role plays a crucial part within our Culinary Team and is perfect for individuals who are passionate about excellent customer service and have experience in dining or hospitality settings. The Server will work varied schedules that include weekends and holidays but no late-night shifts, providing flexibility for those seeking part-time opportunities. The Server’s main responsibility is to ensure residents and guests enjoy an exceptional dining experience by maintaining cleanliness, adhering to food presentation standards, and providing courteous and efficient service.

The successful candidate will be someone who exemplifies a warm and welcoming attitude, ensuring every interaction contributes to a positive dining atmosphere. Serving in a senior living community requires not only attentiveness and efficiency but also sensitivity to the unique needs of senior residents, including knowledge of special diets and adherence to health and safety guidelines. The role is dynamic and engaging, involving tasks such as setting tables, taking orders, answering menu questions, clearing dishes, and working collaboratively with kitchen staff. Job Requirements

  • Minimum age of 16 years
  • Sophomore year of high school completed
  • Must be able to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to obtain food handler’s card
  • Previous serving experience preferred
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and maintain standards

Job Qualifications

  • Sophomore year of high school completed
  • 1-3 years experience serving in a country club, restaurant, or senior living community is appreciated
  • Ability to obtain or possession of a food handler's card
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work varied schedules including weekends and holidays
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team

Job Duties

  • Exemplify community standards of cleanliness, sanitation and organization at all times
  • Adhere to food quality, appearance, and presentation standards at all times
  • Maintain dining room appearance and presentation standards at all times
  • Exhibit serving standards of speed, accuracy, and efficiency
  • Set tables and maintain work stations in proper order
  • Take orders, provide service and requested items graciously and courteously
  • Answer questions about menu items
  • Clear dishes from tables during and after meal service, assist with dish washing, and reset tables
  • Serve customers using proper serving etiquette and promote an inviting dining atmosphere
  • Knowledge of diets provided and ensure they are served correctly per policy and procedure
  • Represent the community in a warm and inviting manner
  • Support creating a culture that drives top-line revenue and occupancy through engagement and business decisions
