The part-time Server position at Clearwater Ahwatukee is tailored for individuals who are passionate about serving seniors and contributing to their dining experience in a meaningful way. Operating during evening shifts, this role involves providing outstanding customer service to residents, their family members, and guests, ensuring every meal is an event of comfort and enjoyment. The Server's primary responsibility is to maintain a pleasant and positive dining environment by seating residents appropriately, taking written food orders, and serving meals efficiently and courteously. This role requires attentiveness to residents' specific dietary needs and preferences in cooperation with the Culinary Director, ensuring food service aligns with health regulations and personalized care plans. Servers are also expected to exhibit proper etiquette, such as serving from the left and clearing dishes between courses, to enhance the dining experience.

Beyond meal service, the Server aids in maintaining sanitary dining areas by cleaning and resetting tables and replenishing necessary condiments. They also assist with kitchen and dining service operations including breaking down deliveries, stocking supplies, dishwashing as needed, and delivering meals to resident rooms when required. This comprehensive involvement ensures that all aspects of the dining service uphold high standards of hygiene, safety, and hospitality.

Job Requirements

High school diploma or GED
Background clearances as required by government regulations
Ability to work part-time evening shifts
Good communication skills
Ability to follow safety and sanitation standards
Physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods

Job Duties

Take written food orders and serve meals to residents, family members and guests in a professional, efficient and courteous manner ensuring the highest customer satisfaction
Assist residents with meal/menu selections as necessary or requested
Use proper etiquette and manners while waiting tables courteously and professionally (serving from the left, clearing used dishes between courses, etc.)
Review residents’ dietary needs, as outlined by the Culinary Director
Track resident attendance at meals in a timely manner to the appropriate person
Ensure that all residents are greeted and seated properly, making extra efforts to integrate new residents making them feel welcome and comfortable
Ensure a clean sanitary dining area and comply with all policies and procedures regarding the proper handling and serving of food
Display tact and friendliness when dealing with residents, associates, and guests
Clean and reset tables, returning dishes to kitchen
Clean and set up of all dining and food service areas including stocking of condiments pulling old items and restocking as necessary (sugars, salt/pepper, ketchups, etc.)
Cooperate and assist with other kitchen and dining services to ensure residents have a positive dining experience
Assist in breaking down deliveries, putting away stock, washing dishes, as needed
Deliver meals to resident rooms as required, including tray collection after meal service
Comply with Clearwater standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient community operations
Display a positive and professional image through actions and maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform and name tag when working
Represent the Clearwater principles and core values on a daily basis
Perform other duties and tasks as assigned or required
