Job Requirements

  • Must be able to read, write, communicate in and interpret English at a functional level
  • add, subtract, multiply and divide using fractions, whole numbers and decimals
  • possess a Washington State Food Handler’s Permit
  • adhere to CRISTA dress code
  • follow all CRISTA Ministries’ policies, procedures and doctrines
  • demonstrate commitment to Christian beliefs as reflected in CRISTA’s Statement of Faith and Christian Community Representative Commitment
  • follow directions
  • perform duties in a team environment
  • use problem solving skills
  • ability to work collaboratively with supervisor, coworkers, residents, and their families

Job Qualifications

  • Belief that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior
  • committed Christian dedicated to ongoing spiritual growth through prayer, fellowship, and Bible study
  • alignment with and support of CRISTA’s Statement of Faith and Christian Community Representative Commitment
  • ability to read, write, communicate, and interpret English at a functional level
  • basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • possession of a Washington State Food Handler’s Permit
  • ability to work well in a team environment
  • strong problem-solving skills
  • ability to follow directions and work collaboratively with supervisors and coworkers

Job Duties

  • Promptly take food orders from residents and deliver them to the kitchen before serving meals in a timely and courteous manner
  • follow the Principles of Correct Service in all dining activities
  • maintain sanitation and order in the dining room by adhering to food handling and infection control procedures
  • bus tables and support other dining room staff to ensure efficient service
  • clean and reset dining tables according to established standards
  • prepare garnishes and condiments as assigned
  • restock dining room supplies to maintain availability during service
  • perform nightly cleaning tasks and side jobs assigned by supervisors
  • train new wait staff when required
  • attend scheduled meetings and communicate effectively with residents, customers, supervisors, peers, and residents’ families
  • work collaboratively within the team to deliver excellent service
  • perform other related duties as assigned
