The employment opportunity offered is a part-time server position at CRISTA Senior Living, located in Shoreline, Washington. This role is integral to creating a welcoming and efficient dining experience for the residents, reflecting the ministry’s mission to provide joy and purpose to the lives of seniors. The position pays between $17.13 and $17.50 per hour and requires availability for 3 to 4 shifts per week, scheduled Monday through Saturday afternoons from 3:30 pm to 7:30 pm, and Sundays from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. The Server role at CRISTA Senior Living primarily involves supporting dining room services by taking food orders, delivering meals, and maintaining an orderly dining environment. This position may include duties as a waitperson, bus person, or food runner depending on needs. Key responsibilities include setting up and clearing tables, prepping for meals, preparing garnishes, restocking supplies, running food orders to residents, assisting with dish duties, and adhering to proper food handling and infection control standards. Beyond the physical tasks, the Server acts as a vital point of personal interaction with residents, providing courteous and respectful service to enhance their dining experience. The role requires working collaboratively with supervisors, co-workers, residents, and their families, embodying the ministry’s values in attitude and conduct. Candidates must hold a Washington State Food Handler’s Permit and possess the ability to communicate effectively in English, demonstrate basic math skills, and maintain compliance with CRISTA’s policies and dress code. A strong spiritual foundation is essential; the individual must be a committed Christian who actively pursues spiritual growth and aligns fully with CRISTA’s Statement of Faith and Christian Community Representative Commitment.
