Job Requirements
- High school education or equivalent
- Previous experience in similar position of 3 months or longer
- Basic knowledge of customer service principles
- Knowledge of standard cash-handling procedures
- Fluency in oral and written English
- Vision ability to see detailed guest checks and written instructions clearly
- Manual coordination to punch buttons, grasp items, and balance and carry trays loaded with food and beverages
- Physical ability to lift, push, pull and carry up to 50 lbs
- Mobility to travel up to 300 feet regularly
- Capability to stand for extended periods
- Moderate hearing ability to communicate and hear customers and staff
- Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to use tact and understanding when handling customer service issues
- Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing
Job Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent
- Previous experience in similar position of 3 months or longer
- Basic knowledge of customer service principles, the food server function and restaurant and kitchen operations
- Knowledge of standard cash-handling procedures
- Fluent in oral and written English
- Ability to see detailed guest checks and written instructions clearly
- Manual coordination to punch buttons, grasp items, and balance and carry trays loaded with food and beverages
Job Duties
- Greets and takes food and drink orders from restaurant customers, serving the orders and accommodating special needs requests
- Remains attentive to the customers throughout the entire dining experience, adhering to or exceeding service standards established by the restaurant
- Completes all restocking and cleaning duties by performing opening and closing sidework as instructed
- Memorizes menu items, recipes and daily specials to answer questions and make recommendations
- Maintains cleanliness standards in restaurant, waitstation and kitchen service area
- Controls guest checks by following established check-use procedures and documents all required information
- Receives proper payment from guests and ensures accuracy of guest check and method of payment
- Attends all pre-meal and departmental meetings to enhance communication and product knowledge
- Responds to customer inquiries and comments in person and on phone providing timely and knowledgeable information
- Presents a clean and professional appearance and maintains a friendly, courteous demeanor
- Performs other duties as assigned by management
