Job Requirements

  • Two years of prior serving experience required
  • ability to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
  • ability to perform essential job functions satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation
  • maintain confidentiality and professionalism
  • ability to follow food safety protocols
  • comply with company policies and procedures
  • pass any required background screenings if applicable

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum two years of prior serving experience
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to understand menu items and ingredients
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to handle specialized diets and allergens
  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • ability to handle cash and follow transaction procedures
  • teamwork and customer service orientation
  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
  • deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • follow up periodically to assist with additional guest needs or requests
  • demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients
  • advise guests on appropriate food and drink combinations when requested
  • accommodate reasonable requests and note preferences
  • demonstrate knowledge of specialized diets and allergens as needed
  • communicate with back-of-the-house staff to ensure correct order delivery and special accommodations
  • exhibit exceptional communication skills and teamwork
  • remain flexible and patient with guests and staff
  • collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
  • promote a clean, safe, and neat environment
  • maintain sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
  • promptly address complaints and relay information to supervisor
  • ensure proper dining room setup before and after service periods
  • keep area clean meeting sanitation standards
  • operate various equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea and soda machines, soup wells, coffee machines
  • work with other department staff during special events and functions
  • perform other duties as assigned
