Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in food and beverage service preferred
- Ability to communicate clearly and positively with guests
- Ability to handle payment transactions accurately
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch
- Willingness to comply with all food and beverage service standards and regulations
- Completion of Pennsylvania TIPS or comparable training program
Job Qualifications
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Willingness to assist co-workers and be a team player
- Basic knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits
- Familiarity with menu items
- Professional appearance and manner at all times
- Ability to upsell and drive revenue
- Exercise good judgment in evaluating situations and making sound decisions
- Strong interpersonal skills and cordial behavior
- Flexibility to work lunch and dinner shifts including weekends and holidays
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical activities
- Completion of Pennsylvania state-specific TIPS or comparable training
Job Duties
- Provide prompt and courteous food and beverage service to guests while maximizing sales volume
- Must upsell food and beverage items
- Provide superior table service to guests in accordance with established standards
- Ensure customer requests are completed in a courteous manner based on standards
- Maintain clean and organized work area to maximize efficiency and aesthetic standards
- Interact verbally with all guests creating a service oriented and upbeat atmosphere
- Complete all payment transactions according to standard
- Complete all side-work according to standard
- Clean and re-set tables according to standard
- Notify management of incidents involving excessive alcohol consumption or impaired customers
- Responsible for checking IDs of all guests when in question and not serving guests with no valid ID
- Comply with all established food and beverage standards
- Must be able to suspend service to intoxicated individuals in accordance with Pennsylvania law
- Execute other duties as assigned by management
