This position is for a Server role within the Culinary Department at a facility that prioritizes excellent dining experiences for its residents and guests. Job Requirements

  • Must meet all applicable state and federal requirements for this position
  • Ability to frequently lift/carry 30 lbs and occasionally lift/carry 50 lbs
  • Ability to frequently push/pull up to 30 lbs and occasionally push/pull up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as bending, twisting, stooping, reaching at or below the shoulder, frequently standing or walking
  • Good communication skills for effective interaction with supervisors, team members, residents, and families
  • Capability to work tactfully with diverse individuals including ill, disabled, elderly, and emotionally upset people
  • Ability to execute tasks independently
  • Ability to express self clearly and effectively

Job Qualifications

  • Must meet all applicable state and federal requirements for this position
  • Food service and/or hospitality experience preferred
  • Ability to make independent decisions
  • Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, residents, and families
  • Ability to handle ill, disabled, elderly, and emotionally upset individuals
  • Ability to follow instructions and work well in a team environment

Job Duties

  • Serve meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance
  • Serve food in accordance with established portion control procedures
  • Distribute and collect menus as necessary
  • Take meal orders, serve food and beverages, and answer questions regarding the menu
  • Follow sanitary regulations at all times
  • Provide Platinum Service with each dining experience
  • Set up meal trays, food carts and set up the dining room with utensils, salt and pepper, napkins, and clean common areas prior and after meals are served
