At Harbor's Edge, we are actively seeking both part-time and full-time wait staff to join our dynamic hospitality team. Our ideal candidates are friendly, professional, and highly service-driven individuals who possess a strong commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences. This role supports both our fine dining and catering operations, catering to a community that values quality and personalized service. The wait staff position involves providing attentive and courteous service to residents and their guests, ensuring that dining occasions are memorable and comfortable. The shifts for this position are set from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM, with full-time employees benefiting from a scheduled break between 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM. Responsibilities include taking accurate food and beverage orders using our POS system, maintaining clean and organized dining spaces, assisting with table setup and clearing, and supporting special events and catering functions as needed. This role demands a high level of interpersonal skill, customer service expertise, and the ability to contribute positively to a team-oriented work environment. Moreover, candidates are expected to demonstrate excellent time management skills, adapt comfortably to a fast-paced setting, and maintain a genuine passion for enhancing the lives of older adults through their service. Job Requirements

  • Must meet Virginia minimum age requirements for employment (16+)
  • Food Handlers' Card required (training provided if needed)
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and work effectively as part of a team
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Genuine passion for making a positive difference in the lives of older adults
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, reaching, and climbing stairs
