The Server role at Oak View Group is designed for individuals passionate about hospitality, especially in a fast-paced and high-volume setting. As a Server, you will be essential in delivering exceptional guest service, ensuring that every dining experience is both memorable and enjoyable. The hourly rate for this position is $21.30, and the role is tip-eligible, offering an attractive earning opportunity. The role is part-time and comes with excellent benefits including a 401(k) Savings Plan and matching. In this role, Servers maintain thorough knowledge of the food and beverage menus, including any special offerings, to provide knowledgeable and professional service to guests. The ability to communicate clearly with customers and team members is essential to deliver quick and friendly service. Servers ensure proper presentation and timely delivery of food items to uphold high standards of quality and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities also include pre-bussing and fully bussing tables during busy periods, restocking beverage stations, and maintaining a neat, professional appearance at all times.

Moreover, the role demands excellent coordination with wait staff, bartenders, kitchen staff, and supervisors to enhance communication and ensure seamless service. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma, G.E.D. or related food service job experience
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high volume food and beverage environment preferred
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment
  • Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with employees, co-workers, management staff and guests
  • Must acquire and maintain a Food Handlers Card
  • Must acquire and maintain Alcohol Awareness Certification
  • Must complete other required compliance trainings
  • Availability to work during peak periods
  • Ability to maintain a professional and clean appearance

Job Qualifications

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high volume food and beverage environment preferred
  • Must have a high school diploma, G.E.D or related food service job experience
  • Must acquire and maintain a Food Handlers Card, Alcohol Awareness Certification and other required compliance trainings
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment
  • Ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, management staff and guests in a clear, business-like and respectful manner focused on generating a positive, enthusiastic and cooperative work environment

Job Duties

  • Maintains knowledge of the food and beverage menus and any special items being offered
  • Provides quick, attentive, friendly and professional service to dining guests and communicates clearly with all customers
  • Ensures that food items are served at proper temperature and immediately upon availability from the kitchen as ordered by customers
  • Ensures neat presentation of all items with no spillover
  • Pre-busses tables and full busses tables when necessary during peak periods
  • Maintains availability to work during many peak periods
  • Stocks beverage station(s) when necessary including ice, wines, glassware, coffee and tea, condiments, etc.
  • Maintains high responsiveness to customer desires and requests
  • Maintains a professional and clean appearance
  • Communicates with wait staff, bus persons, bartenders, supervisors, kitchen staff to improve communication and coordination
  • Builds and maintains knowledge regarding bar offerings to accurately answer patron questions
