Job Description

Le Petit Pali at Ocean Ave is a boutique hotel located in the charming downtown area of Carmel-by-the-Sea. Offering 34 guest rooms along with exclusive guest amenities such as a private lobby and patio, this property has been recently reimagined by Palisociety, an innovative and integrated hospitality company known for developing and operating unique hotels and residences across the United States. Le Petit Pali embodies a blend of genuine charm, comfort, and unexpected luxury, providing guests with an intimate and memorable lodging experience. Daily offerings include a Continental Champagne Breakfast and Social Hours, specially designed to enhance the stay for hotel guests. The Palisociety brand is recognized for creating neighborhood-centric properties filled with friendly staff, exciting atmospheres, and highly attentive service. Palisociety has grown considerably since its founding in 1998 by CEO Avi Brosh in Los Angeles, expanding to operate several brands including Palihouses, Palihotels, and ARRIVE by Palisociety. We are seeking a friendly, enthusiastic Server to join the team at Le Petit Pali at Ocean Ave. This role involves not only serving high-quality food, drinks, and coffee but also forging authentic connections with guests to elevate their dining experience. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic hospitality environment and be genuinely passionate about creating memorable moments for every guest. The Server is expected to accurately understand and communicate menu items, work collaboratively with coworkers, and maintain a clean and organized workspace. Other responsibilities include operating point-of-sale systems like Micros, handling guest inquiries with professionalism, and adapting quickly to different personalities and situations without losing focus. Job Requirements

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule and shifts - weekends and holidays as needed
  • Requires prolonged standing, walking, bending and lifting up to 30 lbs
  • Needs to have a minimum of one-year experience in a similar position

  • 1-3 years of experience as a Server in a high-quality full service or fast casual environment

Job Duties

  • Consistently be able to assess, anticipate and meet guests' needs and respond quickly without losing focus or projecting a mood that detracts from guests' dining experience
  • Communicate in a professional manner with guests, coworkers and management
  • Adapt to different personalities of guests and coworkers without losing focus
  • Comprehensively understand the menu's food and beverage items and communicate to guests effectively and accurately
  • Recognize problems when they arise and be able to resolve them appropriately by using good judgment, tact and initiative according to company policy and procedure
  • Perform general accounting and mathematical skills and be able to correctly operate various mechanical devices such as cash registers, Micros System and hot beverage makers
  • Ensure a clean and organized workspace per side work guidelines issued by management
  • Follow uniform guideline
  • Ability to understand and execute management's instructions, read written company memorandums, and communicate when he or she needs more direction
  • Other duties as assigned
