Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- efficiently take food and beverage orders, following established steps of service
- deliver food promptly and professionally
- maintain safe food handling and sanitation standards
- follow up periodically to assist with additional needs or requests
- demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients
- advise guests on appropriate combinations of food and drinks
- accommodate reasonable requests and note preferences
- communicate effectively with service assistants to keep the section on pace
- coordinate with the heart of house team to ensure correct order delivery and accommodate special requests
- exhibit exceptional communication skills and work well with others
- remain flexible and patient when communicating with guests and team members
- collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
- promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
- maintain confidentiality regarding company information
- promptly address complaints or issues and relay relevant information to supervisor
- ensure the dining room is properly set up before and after service periods
- operate various equipment including telephones, water dispensers, and coffee machines
- collaborate with staff of other departments during regular service and special events
- assist in opening and closing duties as assigned
- perform other duties as assigned
