Established as a leader in hotel and resort management, Marriott offers a diverse portfolio of brands, including the trendy and dynamic W Hotels brand, which is known for its cutting-edge design, vibrant atmosphere, and commitment to luxury redefined. Situated at 6250 Hollywood Blvd, Hollywood, California, W Hotels embodies an energetic, up-for-anything spirit that caters to guests seeking not just a stay but a life experience. The company fosters a culture of inclusivity and equal opportunity, welcoming applications from diverse backgrounds and valuing the unique talents and perspectives of its associates.
This position is a part-time Food and Beverage Server role located on the WET Deck at W Hotels. Often operating on an on-call basis, this non-management position offers an hourly wage of $16.90 plus eligibility for tips. The role requires a versatile and attentive individual to serve food courses and alcoholic beverages with attentiveness and professionalism, ensuring that each guest’s dining experience meets the highest standards. The successful candidate will play a key role in setting tables according to the specific event type and service standards, providing informed answers about menu selections, and communicating promptly with the kitchen staff to manage special dietary needs, allergies, or any other meal modifications.
Responsibilities extend beyond serving, as the Servicer must record transactions accurately using the MICROS point-of-sale system, regularly check in with guests for satisfaction, maintain cleanliness of work areas, and assist in closing duties such as restocking and turning off lights. The emphasis is on delivering a seamless guest experience by welcoming guests warmly according to company standards, responding to their needs efficiently, and maintaining a clean and organized dining environment. The Work Conditions involve standing, walking, bending, and lifting moderately heavy items, making physical stamina an important attribute for success in this role.
