The role of Server (On-Call) at the University of Puget Sound is a vital position focused on creating unmatched dining experiences through attentive guest engagement, expert navigation of menu offerings, and seamless service execution. As a key member of the dining team, the server is responsible for setting up catering events such as tables, buffets, and beverage stations adhering strictly to client specifications and event standards. Job Requirements
- Previous experience as server in a similar restaurant environment
- Ability to perform essential functions on the computerized Point of Sale system
- Working knowledge of dining and beverage service procedures
- Working knowledge of applicable liquor laws and regulations
- Necessary State Food Handler's License(s) and Liquor Serving Permit(s)

Job Duties
- Set up catering events including tables buffets and beverage stations according to client specifications and event standards
- Ensure accurate delivery and presentation of food items per the event order
- Assist with food preparation plating and garnishing as needed
- Ensure attractive consistent presentation of food and beverages and that all food and beverage items are served at the correct temperature
- Monitor guest needs throughout the event refilling beverages clearing plates and addressing special requests promptly
- Maintain current knowledge of food and beverage offerings including menu changes and sold-out items
- Keep work area including guest dining area clean and organized
