The role of a Server at Golden Nugget is integral to sustaining the company’s reputation for excellence in hospitality. This position is principally based in the restaurant and food and beverage areas, where the assigned server ensures that every guest receives service to the Golden standard. Servers provide a warm welcome, demonstrate the highest standards of hospitality, and create memorable dining experiences that encourage guests to return. This role involves consistent delivery of courteous and professional interaction with guests, vendors, and fellow employees, reflecting the company’s values.
Servers are responsible for observing guests’ needs and satisfaction, promptly addressing requests, and maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the dining environment. The daily tasks include delivering food and beverage items, replenishing glassware and utensils, offering dessert and drink options, and removing courses promptly and efficiently. Additionally, employees in this position are expected to display a strong commitment to responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service by discreetly reporting concerns to management when necessary. The position also entails adherence to internal ethics policies, with any observations of illegal or unethical conduct being reported immediately.
This is a tipped position with an hourly wage of $3.25, providing employees with the opportunity to earn additional income through gratuities. Flexibility in working hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, is expected. Job Duties
- Ensure exhibit is conducted according to Gaming Commission Regulations, Federal and State laws and company policies
- Deliver positive, courteous, and professional guest service in all interactions
- Perform cleaning tasks as directed by supervisor
- Assist in maintaining dining room cleanliness during service
- Observe guests to ensure satisfaction with food and service
- Respond promptly to guest requests
- Maintain proper dining experience by delivering items, fulfilling needs, offering desserts and drinks, removing courses, replenishing utensils, and refilling glasses
- Demonstrate commitment to responsible gaming and alcohol service by notifying management of concerns
- Notify senior management or Ethics Hotline of illegal acts or internal ethics violations
- Perform other duties as assigned
