The position focuses on providing guests with an outstanding dining experience by employing effective selling techniques, demonstrating proper food and liquor handling practices, and mastering general restaurant operations. The responsibilities include communicating menu specials and changes to guests, making personalized food and beverage suggestions to enhance their dining experience, and efficiently managing orders through the Point of Sale (POS) system to ensure accuracy. Employees are expected to uphold the highest hospitality standards by greeting guests warmly, facilitating seamless payment transactions, and maintaining the cleanliness and readiness of dining areas.

Team members also take part in light cleaning duties, collaborate with other restaurant staff to ensure operations run smoothly, and directly engage with guests to ascertain and fulfill their needs promptly. Job Requirements

  • must be at least 18 years old

  • basic food safety knowledge
  • must be licensed to serve alcohol to prepare mixed drinks

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • previous experience in food and beverage service is a plus
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • strong customer service orientation
  • basic knowledge of food and beverage handling and safety
  • familiarity with point of sale systems is desirable

Job Duties

  • Inform guests about the special items for the day and menu changes if any
  • suggest food and beverages to the guest utilizing appropriate methods to upsell
  • taking food and beverage orders from the guest and accurately entering into point of sale system
  • greet guests and present them with the menu when applicable
  • process payment transactions
  • clear and reset table settings and linens as needed
  • perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor
  • communicate to the guest and provide assistance with questions
  • coordinate with restaurant staff to ensure smooth operation and guest satisfaction
  • serve food and beverage per the course of order
  • observe guests and ensure their satisfaction with the food and service
  • promptly respond to guest with any additional request
  • maintain proper dining experience delivering items fulfilling customer needs offering desserts and drinks removing courses replenishing utensils refilling glasses
  • prepare mixed drinks for service to your customers table when applicable must be 18 or over and licensed
  • understand and can communicate products and services available at the resort
  • assist with stocking and maintaining the restaurant par stock levels and side station
  • help other areas of the restaurant such as answering telephones and seating guests
