Job Requirements
- must be at least 18 years old
- ability to stand for extended periods
- effective communication skills
- availability to work weekdays and weekends including varied hours between 10:30 a.m. and 10:00 p.m.
- ability to handle cash and process payments accurately
- basic food safety knowledge
- must be licensed to serve alcohol to prepare mixed drinks
- reliable and punctual
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous experience in food and beverage service is a plus
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- strong customer service orientation
- basic knowledge of food and beverage handling and safety
- familiarity with point of sale systems is desirable
- must be of legal age to serve alcohol if preparing mixed drinks
- team player with a positive attitude
Job Duties
- Inform guests about the special items for the day and menu changes if any
- suggest food and beverages to the guest utilizing appropriate methods to upsell
- taking food and beverage orders from the guest and accurately entering into point of sale system
- greet guests and present them with the menu when applicable
- process payment transactions
- clear and reset table settings and linens as needed
- perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor
- communicate to the guest and provide assistance with questions
- coordinate with restaurant staff to ensure smooth operation and guest satisfaction
- serve food and beverage per the course of order
- observe guests and ensure their satisfaction with the food and service
- promptly respond to guest with any additional request
- maintain proper dining experience delivering items fulfilling customer needs offering desserts and drinks removing courses replenishing utensils refilling glasses
- prepare mixed drinks for service to your customers table when applicable must be 18 or over and licensed
- understand and can communicate products and services available at the resort
- assist with stocking and maintaining the restaurant par stock levels and side station
- help other areas of the restaurant such as answering telephones and seating guests
