Delaware North, a family-owned company with over 100 years of history, prides itself on being more than just a workplace; it is a global legacy of hospitality excellence. Their operations span across the world, offering employees varied and unique opportunities for growth and career advancement. Whether in restaurants, hotels, sports venues, gaming, or retail industries, Delaware North is dedicated to supporting their team members in achieving their career aspirations.

Currently, Delaware North's Patina Group is seeking part-time Servers to join their team at Leatherby’s Restaurant located within Segerstrom Center in Costa Mesa, California. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and have a passion for delivering memorable guest experiences. As a Server, you will embody the spirit and values of Leatherby’s Restaurant, representing the brand with professionalism, warmth, and attentiveness.

The part-time server position offers a starting pay of $16.90 per hour, exclusive of tips, which supplement this hourly wage. The role requires working primarily evenings and weekends, perfect for individuals seeking flexible scheduling options. This position is tipped, meaning that servers have the potential to earn additional income based on customer gratuities.

The primary responsibility of the Server is to create a welcoming environment for guests, ensuring every visitor feels valued and well-attended to. This involves greeting guests promptly, guiding them through menus, clearly communicating restaurant specials, accurately taking food and beverage orders, and serving them efficiently. Additionally, servers must responsibly serve alcoholic beverages while adhering strictly to alcohol service policies and procedures.

Aside from direct guest interaction, the role requires collaboration with fellow restaurant servers, kitchen staff, and bar personnel to ensure seamless service delivery. Servers are expected to manage various operational duties such as opening and closing tasks, cleaning, and side work that maintain the restaurant’s high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and organization. Additionally, maintaining and ensuring the proper functioning of all equipment and workspaces is part of the daily routine.

Delaware North places significant emphasis on the well-being and development of its employees. The organization provides intensive training and development opportunities allowing servers to enhance their skills and advance professionally. Employee discounts and flexible work schedules are just part of the supportive benefits offered.

Furthermore, eligible team members have access to a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) plans with company matching contributions, paid vacation and holidays, paid parental bonding leave, an employee assistance program, and tuition or professional certification reimbursement. These benefits underscore the company’s commitment to fostering a supportive and secure work environment to help employees thrive both personally and professionally.

If you are experienced in cash handling and credit card processing, comfortable working in a high-volume setting, and have familiarity with point-of-sale systems, this role is an excellent fit for you. While no formal educational qualification such as a high school diploma or GED is required, having one year of serving experience in a bustling hospitality environment will be advantageous.

Physical stamina is necessary for this position as it involves lifting up to 35 pounds and prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, and navigating stairs. Visual and auditory acuity sufficient for taking orders and preparing checks is also required.

Joining the Delaware North Patina Group team as a part-time Server at Leatherby’s Restaurant offers an enriching opportunity to be part of a renowned hospitality brand at an iconic venue. This role promises a fulfilling career path with robust support, training, and growth potential in a respected and globally recognized industry leader.
