The Food Server role at Friendship Village’s Independent Living facility is a vital position centered around delivering outstanding dining experiences to residents. As the primary point of contact during meals, the Food Server plays an essential role in fostering a warm and engaging atmosphere through attentive and courteous service. This full-time position, with working hours primarily between 10:00 AM and 8:00 PM, offers a competitive edge with a $4,000 sign-on bonus, reflecting the value placed on attracting skilled and dedicated professionals. Servers are responsible for greeting residents and guests, taking accurate food and beverage orders, and ensuring timely and correct delivery of meals. Job Requirements

  • high school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent preferred but not required
  • experience waiting tables in hotel, restaurant, or club with fine dining preferred
  • ability to work in close cooperation with residents, guests, visitors, families, supervisors and peers
  • requires courtesy, tact, and graciousness
  • ability to read, write, and speak English
  • ability to perform simple arithmetic
  • ability to follow written or oral instructions in English
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
  • able to stand on feet for extended periods of time
  • able to walk long periods of time

Job Qualifications
