Friendship Village is actively seeking a dedicated Food Server to join their Independent Living facility team. This full-time role offers hours ranging from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM, with an attractive $3,000 sign-on bonus to welcome new candidates. The Food Server will act as a primary contact point for residents during their dining experience, ensuring high-quality service and resident satisfaction. This position requires a strong positive attitude toward customer service, creativity in approach, and consistent effort towards achieving the community's goals. The Food Server will greet residents, take food and beverage orders accurately, coordinate with kitchen staff for timely delivery, and ensure that residents receive everything they need to enjoy their meals fully. Attention to detail and courtesy are paramount since the servers play a vital role in the social and dining atmosphere of the community.

Job Requirements

high school diploma, g.e.d., or equivalent preferred but not required
experience waiting tables in a hotel, restaurant, or club with fine dining preferred
ability to work in close cooperation with residents, guests, visitors, families, supervisors and peers
requires courtesy, tact, and graciousness
ability to read, write, and speak english, perform simple arithmetic, and follow written or oral instructions in english
ability to work in a fast-paced environment with an attention to detail
able to stand on feet for extended periods of time
able to walk long periods of time

Job Qualifications

high school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
experience waiting tables in a hotel, restaurant, or club with fine dining preferred
strong customer service and communication skills
ability to work well with a diverse group of residents and staff
