The Server role at IHOP Kingston Pike is a dynamic and essential position where you will be responsible for creating an exceptional dining experience by providing outstanding customer service and efficiently managing the flow of orders. Servers play a pivotal role in representing IHOP's mission to spread more joy to guests every day. In this fast-paced and interactive environment, you will greet guests, present menus, explain specials, accurately take orders using the point-of-sale system, and ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to the tables. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • prior customer service or food service experience beneficial
  • ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • strong communication skills
  • reliable and punctual
  • flexibility to work 1st and 2nd shifts
  • legal authorization to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a server in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not required

Job Duties

  • Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner
  • present menus, explain specials, and answer any questions about food and beverages
  • take accurate orders from guests using the point-of-sale (POS) system
  • ensure timely and efficient service of food and drinks to tables
  • monitor guest satisfaction and address any concerns promptly
  • collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to fulfill orders and create a seamless dining experience
  • process payments and handle cash transactions accurately
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including tables, utensils, and drink stations
  • adhere to health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices
  • participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance service skills and product knowledge
