Servers will greet and welcome guests, present menus, provide knowledgeable recommendations, accurately take and process orders through IHOP's point-of-sale system, and ensure timely delivery of food and beverages prepared to IHOP's quality standards. They play a crucial role in the restaurant by checking on guests regularly to confirm satisfaction, addressing any concerns promptly, and maintaining a clean, organized dining environment. Job Duties
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive providing a friendly and inviting atmosphere
- present menus make recommendations and answer questions about menu items specials and dietary restrictions
- accurately take and process customer orders using the point-of-sale POS system
- serve food and beverages promptly ensuring that plates are prepared and garnished according to IHOP standards
- check on guests throughout their meal to ensure satisfaction and address any issues promptly
- maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area including tables chairs and service stations
- collaborate with kitchen staff and management to ensure efficient service and guest satisfaction
- handle cash and credit card transactions processing payments according to company policies
- follow all safety sanitation and health regulations to maintain a safe and clean environment
- participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in the food service industry
