Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- food handler certification within 30 days of hire
- no prior experience required
- must be able to lift and balance a tray weighing approximately 10-15 pounds
- must be able to walk, stand, sit, stoop or bend for duration of shift
- must be able to travel daily or overnight if necessary
- must have speech recognition and clarity
- familiarity with club food menu
- may be required to work nights or weekends
- exposure to sitting and standing intermittently or for prolonged periods
- ability to use equipment such as pens, pencils, and computer keyboards
- must be able to check identification for alcohol sales
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent
- food handler certification within 30 days of hire
- prior experience in a private club and/or resort preferred
- strong communication skills including speech recognition and clarity
- ability to explain food menu items to members and guests
- ability to follow sanitation and safety policies and procedures
- capable of handling monetary transactions accurately
- able to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
Job Duties
- performs and completes assigned side work tasks for opening and closing procedures to ensure smooth operation of services
- provides immediate attention and service to members and guests to ensure a quality dining experience
- coordinates food service involving communication with the kitchen staff to ensure prompt and accurate service
- follows all sanitation requirements, safety, accident and emergency policies and procedures as sanctioned by state, local and club laws
- provides snack bar service as needed
- keeps snack bar stocked and organized to ensure product availability
- maintains cleanliness of snack bar area, including the veranda and veranda tables, to ensure a welcoming appearance
- reports complaints and problems from members and guests to supervisor/manager immediately
- checks identification of patrons to verify age requirements to purchase alcohol
- maintains control of food and beverage checks involving credit cards and cash payments as standard operating procedures
- completes the required daily cash drop as part of the closing procedure
- performs other related duties as assigned
