The Server position at MH Restaurants is a vital role responsible for engaging with guests and ensuring their dining experience is both enjoyable and memorable. Servers act as the primary point of contact for customers, delivering prompt, friendly, and attentive service throughout their visit. This role requires excellent interpersonal skills, a deep understanding of the menu including specials and potential deviations, and the ability to communicate effectively between the guest and kitchen staff. Servers are expected to manage multiple tables efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude and adhering to company policies and procedures.
Starting at a pay rate of $2.13 per hour plus tips, this position is hourly and part-time with the potential for full-time hours. After completing one year of service and maintaining an average of 30 hours per week, employees become eligible for an extensive benefits package. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous guest service or serving experience preferred
- Valid Food Handler Certificate required
- Ability to work nights, weekends and some holidays

Job Duties
- Maintaining proper dining experience, delivering items, fulfilling customer needs, offering desserts and drinks, removing courses, replenishing utensils, refilling glasses
- Staying updated on current menu choices, specialties and menu deviations, knowing if the kitchen staff is running out of any items
- Handle the table bookings, direct customers to their tables, presenting menus, suggesting dishes, assisting in drink selection, informing customers about food preparation details, communicating specific and accurate customer needs to the cooks
- Prepares the tables, laying out napkins and utensils, making sure the condiments are refilled, performing other various preparation tasks
- Prepare drinks for service to your customers table
- Obtaining revenues, issuing receipts, accepting payments, returning the change
- Filling in for absent staff as needed
- Assisting with special events as needed
- Greet all guests and owners warmly with an appropriate greeting
- Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently
- Understands and can communicate products and services available at the restaurant
- Must have some familiarity with basic cooking skills
- Follow all policies and procedures of MH Restaurants
- Attend all mandatory meetings as directed
- Perform other tasks, including cross-training as directed
- Maintain dress code and uniform standard
- Complete required training assigned through the company training portal
- Adhere to consistent and reliable work schedule
- Demonstrate ethical business practices and integrity in all interactions to uphold the MH Restaurants group brand
- Effectively perform duties and responsibilities in a safe manner
- Other duties as assigned
