Job Description

Herbsaint is a distinguished restaurant that is part of the Link Restaurant Group, founded by the renowned James Beard Award-winning executive Chef Donald Link and Stephen Stryjewski. The Link Restaurant Group represents a celebrated family of restaurants in New Orleans, including Herbsaint, Cochon, Cochon Butcher, Peche Seafood Grill, Gianna, La Boulangerie, and Calcasieu Private Dining. Growing up in south Louisiana, Chef Link embraced the region's unique flavors and culinary traditions, which play a pivotal role in shaping the guiding philosophy of producing honest, simple, yet exquisite food. This allows each restaurant under the Link Restaurant Group umbrella to offer a distinctive dining experience rooted deeply in local culture and fresh, seasonal ingredients.

Herbsaint is currently seeking dedicated Servers to join their Front of House (FOH) team. This full-time role offers a competitive hourly wage, comprehensive health insurance, and a 401k plan with company matching to support employees' financial futures. At the heart of this role lies a passion for delivering great service and crafting positive dining experiences for a diverse clientele that includes local patrons as well as national and international visitors. The ideal candidates will have more than two years of fine dining service experience and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. A positive, professional attitude is essential to thrive on the dynamic team.

The position provides an excellent opportunity for driven individuals who are passionate about food and hospitality, with a keen interest in local, seasonal, and sustainable ingredients. Experience in a 'Front-Waiter/Back-Waiter' team environment and fundamental wine knowledge are considered advantageous. Servers at Herbsaint not only serve food but act as ambassadors for the restaurant's brand, playing an important role in ensuring guests' satisfaction from the moment they arrive until they leave. The role demands an individual who is a team player, attentive, and proud to contribute to memorable dining experiences while upholding the highest standards of service and professionalism.

Joining Herbsaint means becoming part of a team that prides itself on exceptional service, culinary excellence, and a vibrant culture. Employees benefit from career progression and professional development opportunities within the Link Restaurant Group, fostering growth and the chance to advance within a respected and innovative hospitality organization. The restaurant also recognizes the importance of work-life balance, offering flexible scheduling to accommodate team members' diverse needs.

This role comes with physical demands typical of fine dining restaurant servers, such as standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and maintaining high energy levels throughout shifts. However, these challenges are balanced by a supportive work environment and the chance to develop a rewarding career in the hospitality industry. Herbsaint, and the Link Restaurant Group, actively promote equal employment opportunities, ensuring an inclusive workplace where diversity is valued and respected. This commitment reinforces a positive, collaborative atmosphere where every team member can thrive and contribute their best.
