The Server position at Bass Pro Shops plays a critical role in enhancing the dining experience for the company’s guests by providing courteous, efficient, and knowledgeable service in assigned dining stations. This part-time role requires a passion for consumer service, attention to detail, and a team-oriented mindset. Servers are responsible for greeting guests promptly, learning and communicating all food and beverage menus, accurately recording orders, ensuring compliance with alcohol service laws, and addressing guest needs throughout their dining experience. The role also involves performing daily cleaning and station setup duties to maintain a pleasant and efficient service environment. With duties blending customer service, teamwork, and operational responsibilities, Servers contribute directly to the company’s goal of delivering world-class guest service. Job Duties
- Supports a strong commitment to world class guest service and ensures a pleasant and enjoyable dining experience for restaurant patrons
- completes training requirements and follows service standards as trained
- greets guests promptly and courteously in assigned workstation
- understands and executes established procedures for verifying guest's ability to legally purchase and consume alcohol and knows how to prevent a guest from overindulging
- learns all menus and can communicate all food and beverage offerings
- effectively uses suggestive selling techniques
- records food and beverage orders, enters orders into computer system, monitors status of order preparation and safely transports order from kitchen to guest
- monitors and addresses guest needs during meal
- collects monies owed for food and beverages and properly performs all guest check accountability procedures
- performs tip declaration activities and compensates indirectly tipped associates, i.e., bussers, bartenders, runners, as per established service procedures
- performs daily cleaning activities
- performs food running and station set-up / break-down responsibilities as assigned
- all other duties as assigned
