Job Description

The Bohemian Grove is a prestigious and historic retreat located on 2,700 acres of towering redwood forest in the lower Russian River Valley in Sonoma County, California. Renowned for its natural beauty and tranquil environment, the Grove has been a private gathering place for over 150 years where members and their guests come to enjoy arts, music, literature, drama, nature walks, and fine dining. The Club is steeped in tradition and offers a unique blend of outdoor experiences and cultural enrichment set amidst ancient redwoods and pristine landscapes. Its rich heritage and commitment to providing a serene yet engaging atmosphere make it a standout venue for those seeking opportunities in hospitality, especially during the summer season.

The Restaurant Server role at Bohemian Grove is a summer-only position designed for individuals who want to work in an extraordinary outdoor environment surrounded by majestic redwoods and welcoming colleagues who share a passion for excellent service. This position provides a flexible schedule and competitive hourly wages, making it an attractive job for students, seasonal workers, or anyone looking for rewarding work during the summer months. The role involves direct interaction with members, ensuring their dining experience meets the high standards set by the Club. Servers are responsible for addressing member needs, providing detailed explanations of the menu, recommending specials, serving food and beverages, and maintaining the cleanliness and supply of service areas. Working outdoors with breathtaking scenery adds an unparalleled element of enjoyment to the job. The Bohemian Grove is committed to a respectful and inclusive workplace, emphasizing regular attendance, adherence to Club rules, and cooperation with training requirements. The summer season runs from early July through the end of the month, specifically the 2026 Encampment dates from Monday, July 6th, to Friday, July 31st, during which servers play a key role in delivering an exceptional dining experience in this unique setting.

This summer server opportunity promises a harmonious blend of professional growth, exposure to historic traditions, and the beauty of nature, all while earning competitive wages. Those hired will find themselves part of a community valuing camaraderie, dedication, and excellent service under the canopy of grand redwoods. The job demands stamina, clear communication skills, and a friendly, member-focused attitude. Employees must be prepared for physical activity and working in a dynamic and sometimes fast-paced outdoor setting. Overall, the Bohemian Grove summer server position is ideal for those seeking seasonal employment that combines work, nature, and cultural enrichment in one remarkable package.
