The Server role is fundamental to the success of the restaurant, as it is the Server who leads guests throughout their entire dining journey. This position requires a deep understanding of the menu, including all food and beverage options, as well as the ability to communicate confidently and politely with guests. Effective Servers are skilled at reading the needs and preferences of each individual patron, enabling them to provide personalized service that exceeds expectations. The Server must also demonstrate strong multitasking abilities, prioritizing their responsibilities to maintain an organized and efficient workflow during busy service periods.
As a Server, you will be entrusted with preparing your assigned table sections for upcoming guests and delivering timely, courteous service at every course. Your expertise will be essential in explaining menu items and specials, making targeted suggestions to encourage upselling, and handling transactions accurately through the POS system. Strict adherence to food safety standards and legal requirements for alcohol service is mandatory to ensure guest safety and compliance with company policies. Job Requirements
- Minimum of one year of restaurant serving experience
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a high-volume, upscale restaurant environment preferred
- Knowledge of Mexican cuisine and beverages a plus
- Must have or be able to obtain a State of Florida Food Safety Certificate
- Must have or be able to obtain a Florida Responsible Vendors Certificate
- Must be well versed in food safety including proper techniques for handling food and personal hygiene requirements
- Must be well versed in laws and company practices regarding the safe and legal service of alcoholic beverages
- Must be able to perform all necessary job functions
- Must be able to stand and be mobile for up to 4 consecutive hours
- Must be able to function in narrow spaces such as those found in kitchens and dining rooms
- Must be able to lift and carry equipment or food up to 50 pounds
- Must possess dexterity in lifting and carrying trays and other restaurant items
- Must be able to push and pull carts, doors etc.
- Must be able to reach, bend, kneel, stoop and crouch
- Must be able to perform repetitive tasks
- Must be able to complete work duties in a variety of environmental conditions including coolers, freezers, kitchen environments and outdoors
- Must be able to work with foods containing various food allergens
- Must be able to communicate and interact politely and effectively with guests of all types
- Must be able to effectively satisfy guest demands
- Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Must be fluent in the English language
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays
- Must be able to arrive for all assigned shifts on-time
- Must be able to comply with company appearance guidelines
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Prepare assigned table section for guest arrival
- Know and be able to explain all food and beverage items on the menus
- Know and be able to explain any featured items or specials
- Politely greet guests in a timely fashion
- Lead guests through the restaurant menus and make appropriate menu suggestions
- Suggestively sell and upsell menu items as appropriate
- Answer any guest questions as necessary
- Ring guest orders accurately into the POS system
- Deliver each course to the guests in a timely fashion
- Observe proper service procedures when serving food and beverage items
- Follow up with guests at appropriate times to ensure satisfaction and refill beverages
- Clear tables of unnecessary items at appropriate times
- Process guest payments accurately and quickly following company cash handling procedures
- Complete all assigned opening and closing duties
- Display proper food safety procedures at all times
- Follow all necessary laws and processes for the safe service of alcohol
- Work closely with all other team members and display good teamwork
- Follow the Disney 5-Keys Basics, Service Basics and Company Guidelines at all times
- All other tasks as assigned
