The Server position within the Culinary Services Department at Clarendale Arcadia plays a vital role in enhancing the dining experience for residents. This hands-on role requires providing exceptional food service while upholding the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation. Servers are responsible for delivering courteous and efficient service, ensuring that food quality and appearance consistently meet community standards. This role is essential in maintaining a warm and inviting dining atmosphere that promotes resident satisfaction and well-being. Servers are also expected to be knowledgeable about dietary requirements and policies to support residents’ health needs appropriately.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum completion of sophomore year in high school required
  • Experience in food service work preferred
  • Experience in working with seniors preferred
  • Food Handlers Certification
  • Have or be able to obtain Finger Print Clearance Card, CPR/First Aid, and TB testing clearance

Job Duties

  • Exemplify at all times community standards of cleanliness, sanitation and organization
  • Responsible for adhering to food quality, appearance, and presentation standards at all times
  • Exhibit dining room appearance and presentation standards at all times
  • Exhibit serving standards of speed, accuracy, and efficiency
  • Set tables and maintain work stations in proper order
  • take order, provide service and requested items both graciously and courteously
  • answer pertinent questions about menu items
  • Clear dishes from tables during and after meal service, assist with dish washing, and reset tables
  • Serve customers using proper serving etiquette and promote an inviting dining atmosphere
  • Knowledge of diets provided and served correctly per policy and procedure
  • Represent community in a warm and inviting manner, which creates a positive marketing environment
  • Supports creating a culture where the business decisions made in this position, along with individual employee engagement, drive top-line revenue and occupancy
