We are currently seeking a dedicated, experienced Server to join our culinary team on a full-time basis. The role is essential in delivering an exceptional dining experience that matches the high standards of our community. As a Server at Clarendale of Chandler, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and organization standards set by our community, ensuring that food quality and presentation meet established guidelines. You will interact directly with residents, providing courteous, efficient, and accurate service while fostering an inviting dining atmosphere. This role demands professionalism, attention to detail, and a passion for serving seniors with respect and kindness.
The position offers a competitive starting salary of $15.15 per hour, with varied shifts including weekends and holidays; however, there are no late-night shifts. Job Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old
- Have 1-3 years of serving experience in a related setting preferred
- Ability to obtain or have a Food Handler's Card
- Able to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
- Must meet community appearance and conduct standards
- Ability to provide courteous and efficient customer service
- Must be able to lift and carry items as needed
Job Qualifications
- Sophomore year of high school completed
- 1-3 years of experience serving in a country club, restaurant, or senior living community preferred
- Knowledge of serving and dining etiquette
- Ability to communicate warmly and clearly with residents
- Ability to follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Job Duties
- Exemplify community standards of cleanliness, sanitation and organization at all times
- Adhere to food quality, appearance, and presentation standards continually
- Maintain dining room appearance and presentation to high standards
- Exhibit serving standards of speed, accuracy, and efficiency
- Set tables and maintain work stations in proper order
- Take orders, provide service and requested items graciously and courteously
- Answer pertinent questions about menu items
- Clear dishes from tables during and after meal service
- Assist with dish washing and reset tables
- Serve customers using proper serving etiquette and promote an inviting dining atmosphere
- Follow diet specifications correctly per policy and procedure
- Represent the community in a warm and inviting manner
- Support creating a culture that drives top-line revenue and occupancy through business decisions and employee engagement
