Job Description
The Heritage at Brentwood is a premier senior living community dedicated to providing an exceptional quality of life for its residents through outstanding service and true southern hospitality. This respected community offers a variety of dining and hospitality venues, including the Fireside Grille, a contemporary restaurant serving American classics and comfort foods throughout the day; Southern Oak, an upscale dining establishment providing elegant dinner experiences Monday through Friday; Steeplechase Lounge, a favored evening spot with classic cocktails; and Corner Market, which offers fresh baked pastries, coffee, groceries, and quick bites. Additionally, the community hosts catered events in Poplar Hall and features Somerfield Health Center, a highly rated skilled nursing and assisted living facility that delivers excellent dietary services.
Working at The Heritage at Brentwood means joining a compassionate team that values the diverse backgrounds of its staff and is committed to creating a welcoming and respectful environment for both employees and residents. The organization prides itself on offering a better working environment compared to typical hotel or restaurant settings, along with fair wages and comprehensive benefits. Employees have the unique opportunity to connect with senior residents and learn from their incredible life experiences, fostering a rewarding and meaningful workplace.
This full-time position offers a competitive hourly wage of $18 and requires a typical schedule of 40 hours per week, divided into three days from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and two days from 3 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., with no late nights or evening shifts on Sundays or holidays. The Heritage at Brentwood welcomes applicants aged 16 and over, including students needing after-school and weekend hours, and provides on-the-job training with no previous experience necessary.
The role focuses on hospitality and customer service within the dining venues of The Heritage at Brentwood community. Responsibilities include assisting residents and guests to ensure a high level of satisfaction, taking and delivering orders graciously and courteously, clearing tableware efficiently, managing documentation necessary for accurate resident and guest billing, answering questions about menu items knowledgeably, and completing assigned cleaning and side work duties. This position offers a unique blend of customer interaction, attention to detail, and teamwork, all within a supportive and respectful environment.
Employees benefit from a range of valuable perks under the full-time benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, voluntary life insurance, short-term disability, employer-paid basic life and long-term disability insurance, an employee referral bonus program, DailyPay which enables workers to access their earnings immediately, paid time off and paid holidays, and a 401(k) retirement plan. These comprehensive benefits reflect the community's commitment to its workforce's well-being and security.
To be considered, applicants must pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screening, with marijuana use not included in the pre-hire drug screening. The Heritage at Brentwood is an Equal Opportunity Employer that champions diversity and inclusion. Join a team where you do more than just a job - you become part of an extraordinary life dedicated to serving senior residents with respect and excellence.
