Servers must also assist with various operational tasks including opening and closing duties, cleaning, stocking, and occasionally handling food running, phone answering, and seating assistance as directed by management. Weekend and holiday availability is a must, and candidates should have previous serving experience in a high-volume restaurant setting, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and within a team. The ability to stand for extended periods, manage conflict professionally, and a legal age to pour alcohol are mandatory requirements. Job Duties
- Greet guests, take orders, and suggestively sell menu items
- Accurately enter orders into POS system ensuring a seamless kitchen workflow
- Prepare and refill guests’ beverages according to established company recipes and standards, following any and all applicable laws for alcoholic beverages
- Assist guests with menu selections, providing recommendations, and addressing inquiries and special requests
- Communicate effectively, respectfully, and professionally with coworkers, management, and guests
- Respond appropriately to guest requests and concerns, communicating them to coworkers or management as necessary
- Handle guest check transactions, following proper cash handling procedures, processing gift cards and rewards program transactions
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in work areas during and after service
- Continuously pre-buss and reset tables during and after guests’ dining experiences
- Follow company policies and standards, as well as any verbal and written instructions from the management team
- Perform opening and closing duties, as needed, assisting with cleaning, stocking, etc
- Assist in additional tasks and deep cleaning projects as directed by management
- Work in a fast-paced, physically demanding, noisy environment
- Perform additional duties including running food, answering phones, and assisting with seating as occasionally assigned by management
