At Smith Farms Senior Living, the role of a Server is pivotal in maintaining the high standards of dining service that contribute to residents’ overall happiness and well-being. The Server will work under the supervision of a dietary manager to prepare and serve meals, ensuring that every dining experience is comfortable, timely, and pleasant for the residents. This position requires an individual who is attentive to cleanliness, organized in managing food stations and inventory, and dedicated to maintaining a hygienic environment. The Server is also responsible for setting up dining areas, collecting used dishes, monitoring inventory, and supporting other duties as needed to ensure smooth operation of the dining services.

  • Able to pass a criminal background check
  • high school diploma or GED
  • reliable transportation

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • previous experience in food service preferred but not required
  • ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • strong attention to detail and cleanliness
  • good communication skills
  • ability to follow instructions and safety protocols

Job Duties

  • Prepare and serve meals under the supervision of a dietary manager
  • take down dining areas and collect plates, glasses etc
  • deliver dishes and trays to assigned times and places
  • constantly pay attention to cleanliness and order
  • order and monitor inventory on a daily basis
  • discard leftovers and take out the garbage
  • clean food stations and wash dishes
  • set up tables in dining areas
  • stock ingredients
  • other duties as needed
